Well, here we go again. After a birth control mishap and 6 months overseas in Qatar we are now pregnant with baby number 3! At first, we were a little hmm...how should I put it surprised, shocked, and panicked but as the past few days have gone by we are beginning to accept the reality and move forward in excitement. We're obviously hoping for a precious little girl this time around, especially since this is my last child. We are not sure about my official due date, but our guestimated due date is December 2, 2009. Of course subract a couple weeks (I have big babies) and that puts us at a guestimated inducement date of November 19, 2009. I'm happier with this due date, not only because my misery ends sooner but we're not in the month of December which I wouldn't like because of Christmas.
Other than that surprising news, all is pretty calm in the Embry household. Dawson is feeling much better, he had a stomach virus last week. He is a green belt in karate (5th level) and he will have a tournament on April 25th. He will also be getting tubes put in his ears on April 20th, he's had 5 ear infections in the past 6 months, so we are very excited to get him feeling better.
Declan just had his surgery on February 18th. He had his adnoids removed and tubes put in as well. He has a condition called laryngomalacia (a problem of the throat, there is a flap that is underdeveloped and flimsy), the Doctors looked at his problem and decided it is continuing to get better and did not clip the extra flap. Declan is looking much healthier lately and has recently been put on pediasure instead of formula to beef him up a bit. He is a little toot! He enjoys throwing food over the sides of his high chair, playing in the dog food/water, getting into my cabinets, and dumpster diving in the trash! YUCK!
Ross has won Airman of the Year this year in several different areas of his career field. That has been very exciting. We're not sure if he's still in the running for the 12 Outstanding Airman of the Year of the entire Air Force or not. He missed his first day of work yesterday. He either contracted the stomach virus from Dawson or had food poisoning. It was terrible. He almost passed out when he was sick, I was really worried. He's up and running today though and off working hard for the family.
I am 3 classes away from having a bachelors degree!! AHHHH! It's so exciting. I graduate in June here in Little Rock and I just can't wait. It'll be nice to have my degree and not be worried about school anymore. I think I'll really enjoy spending time with all my kiddos for a little while before working again. Well, I think I'll start writing on this more, that was my intention last June, so we'll see how it works out!
