Pregnant!

Well, here we go again. After a birth control mishap and 6 months overseas in Qatar we are now pregnant with baby number 3! At first, we were a little hmm...how should I put it surprised, shocked, and panicked but as the past few days have gone by we are beginning to accept the reality and move forward in excitement. We're obviously hoping for a precious little girl this time around, especially since this is my last child. We are not sure about my official due date, but our guestimated due date is December 2, 2009. Of course subract a couple weeks (I have big babies) and that puts us at a guestimated inducement date of November 19, 2009. I'm happier with this due date, not only because my misery ends sooner but we're not in the month of December which I wouldn't like because of Christmas.

Other than that surprising news, all is pretty calm in the Embry household. Dawson is feeling much better, he had a stomach virus last week. He is a green belt in karate (5th level) and he will have a tournament on April 25th. He will also be getting tubes put in his ears on April 20th, he's had 5 ear infections in the past 6 months, so we are very excited to get him feeling better.

Declan just had his surgery on February 18th. He had his adnoids removed and tubes put in as well. He has a condition called laryngomalacia (a problem of the throat, there is a flap that is underdeveloped and flimsy), the Doctors looked at his problem and decided it is continuing to get better and did not clip the extra flap. Declan is looking much healthier lately and has recently been put on pediasure instead of formula to beef him up a bit. He is a little toot! He enjoys throwing food over the sides of his high chair, playing in the dog food/water, getting into my cabinets, and dumpster diving in the trash! YUCK!

Ross has won Airman of the Year this year in several different areas of his career field. That has been very exciting. We're not sure if he's still in the running for the 12 Outstanding Airman of the Year of the entire Air Force or not. He missed his first day of work yesterday. He either contracted the stomach virus from Dawson or had food poisoning. It was terrible. He almost passed out when he was sick, I was really worried. He's up and running today though and off working hard for the family.

I am 3 classes away from having a bachelors degree!! AHHHH! It's so exciting. I graduate in June here in Little Rock and I just can't wait. It'll be nice to have my degree and not be worried about school anymore. I think I'll really enjoy spending time with all my kiddos for a little while before working again. Well, I think I'll start writing on this more, that was my intention last June, so we'll see how it works out!

Officially Bloggers?

Well, after reading numberous blogs from other people for the past few years, we've decided to make our own blog so that everybody can keep up with all the fantastic and interesting things happening with us. lol!

The excitement of possibly opening my own business has been looming in the air for the past few months. My father, Don, and I have been discussing opening the only 4D ultrasound business in Little Rock. I've gone all out and found out tons of information about this business. I've actually met with the owners so we're one step closer to this actually happening. I'm super excited and can't wait to find out if my Dad can help me out on this business venture.

Another business opportunity has just come our way and we're definitely excited about it. We are buying into a travel agency business and becoming our own travel agent. So if you ever want to travel definitley buy through us. I'll post the website when I get it up and running over the next few weeks. Check out this website for more information www.travelbyspivey.info.

We move into our new house on June 30th. This is our first home, we've lived in rentals, so I'm super excited about it. Our house sits on a corner lot of about 1/3 of an acre.

Ross just made Airman of the Quarter, this is a big accomplishment and I'm very proud of him. He also recently won 2 academic awards out of 4 at his ALS graduation, I've never heard of someone winning 2 awards, so this is very rare and special. He also recently saved our neighbor from her burning house, so although I've always believed he is a hero he proved it the other day for sure! He sews on Staff Seargent August 1st and we can't wait to call him Seargent Embry!

Dawson is starting school August 18th. This is real pre-school and he actually can't miss more than 10 days total for the year. He'll go from 7:45AM to 2:45PM, now this might not sound too bad, but considering that he's never been away from Mommy this is going to be a drastic change for little Dawson, so I hope he adjusts well. Ross is not too happy about it not starting out at half days, so we'll see how it goes. Dawson's 3rd birthday is August 21st, I can't believe my little baby is almost 3! :(

Speaking of babies, Declan is almost 5 months old! Did I just say that? I can't believe he's that old! lol! He can almost sit up by himself and is so happy go lucky. He loves everyone and smiles constantly. He just started teething so I'm sure life will start to get a little more tough, but overall, Declan is a very calm and sweet edition to our family.
